One-time lover of Dream, condemned to Hell when she wouldn't accept Dream's offer of marriage. We first encounter Nada in Hell (The Sandman: Preludes And Nocturnes), when Dream journeys there to win back his helmet, at that time possessed by Choronzon.

The tale of how she was condemned to Hell is recounted in The Sandman: The Doll's House. Also in The Doll's House there is a reference to Nada during a conversation between Desire and Despair. Speaking of ensnaring Dream in its machinations, Desire says, "Nada was a mistake."

In The Sandman: Season Of Mists Destiny gathers Dream, Death, Desire, Despair, and Delirium. Death tells Dream that she believes he behaved badly in dealing with Nada's rejection. Ultimately Dream grants Nada a new life in a newborn's body in Hong Kong.
